How do I control who can see a Hub?

The short version

Invite a client or collaborator to a Hub as an `Editor`, `Commenter`, or `Viewer`, or use `Share to web` for one public item. A Hub guest's role controls their Hub access; a public item link does not expose the rest of the Hub.

You can give someone role-based access to a Hub or send a public link to one item. Choose the scope that matches the work they need to see.

Invite a Hub guest

  1. Open the Hub. Go to the Hub you want to manage.
  2. Invite a guest. Add the person by email and set their role to Editor, Commenter, or Viewer.
  3. Adjust access. Update or remove the guest when their role in the project changes.

Share one item publicly

Turn on Share to web for an individual item when a client only needs that public page. The public link does not reveal the rest of the Hub and does not require a Visualist account.

Good to know

Removing a Hub guest revokes their role-based access to the Hub. Content already in the Hub stays there.
