How do I upload images to my library?
Click Upload images in your library, then pick files from your device or drag them straight onto the page. Visualist saves each image and pulls out its colors. You can also save images from the web with the browser extension.
Your library is where every image you collect lives. You can add images from your device in a couple of ways.
Upload from your device
- Open your library. This is where your images, designs, and palettes are kept.
- Click
Upload images. ChooseUpload from device, then select one or more files. You can also drag files from your desktop straight onto the page. - Let it process. Visualist saves each image and pulls out its colors.
If your library is empty, you will see No files in here yet. How about adding some images? with a button to upload from your device and another to Install browser extension. Either one gets your first images in.
Save images from the web
To clip images while you browse, install the Visualist browser extension. It lets you save and crop images from any site straight into your library. See How do I install the browser extension?.
What you can upload
Visualist accepts common image formats including JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, and SVG, and converts them to a web-friendly format for you. For the full list and file size guidance, see What file types can I upload to Visualist?.
On the free plan, your library holds up to 500 files. Paid plans remove that limit. See What is Visualist?.
