How do I export a design as a PDF?
The short version
Open your design in Canvas, choose Download in the toolbar, then select PDF to save every page in one file. The same menu also lets you download PNG or JPG images, with multiple pages delivered as a zip.
Use a PDF when you need to email a design, attach it to a proposal, or print it. Each Canvas page becomes a page in the file.
Export to PDF
- Open the design. Open the design in Canvas that you want to export.
- Open the Download menu. Click
Downloadin the toolbar. - Choose PDF. Choose
PDF. Visualist renders every page into one file and downloads it.
Export a design in other formats
The same Download menu also offers PNG and JPG. Pick those when you need flat images rather than a document, for example to post on social or drop into another tool. When a design has more than one page, the images download as a zip.
Tip
A PDF gives you a fixed, printable copy. To let a client view the design online and leave comments instead, share it as a link. See How do I share a design with a client?.
